What Is MultiSpeak?
NRECA’s MultiSpeak® Specification is an industry-wide software standard that facilitates interoperability of diverse business and automation applications used in electric utilities. It has been developed and is maintained by the MultiSpeak Initiative.
Why MultiSpeak?
MultiSpeak is important to both the user and the vendor communities. MultiSpeak provides a common set of data and service definitions that provides the foundation for cost-effective software integration. Often MultiSpeak interfaces provided by vendors can be used by utilities without modification. Where customization is required for a specific utility, using MultiSpeak as the starting point can significantly reduce the costs of interface development.
