MultiSpeak® Technical User Group met for three days, September 12-14, 2017, at NISC corporate office at Saint Louis, Missouri. Twenty four (24) representatives from NISC, Aclara, Clevest, Increase Technologies, Itron, Landis+Gyr, Milsoft, NRECA, Partner software, and Sensus/Xylem attended the technical meeting and discussed the following topics:
- Reviewed version 0.8.1 Branch Revision History. After incorporating attendees’ feedback, version 5.1 Release Candidate will be issued.
- Reviewed comments received on section 5 of V5 spec document.
- Discussed deprecation policy and decided discuss further on future conference call.
- Discussed testing procedures, decided to establish testing subcommittee, and scheduled conference call, and eventually the face-to-face meeting(s).
- Decided on monthly Technical Committee webinars and two (2) face-to-face meetings per year. Next meeting to be held in March 2018 and location to be announced.
- Reviewed V5 Function set – overview of all aspects of function set.
- Decided to prioritize RCD (Remote-Connect-Disconnect) V5 function set approval over specification document completion
- Created a Testing Harness Ad-Hoc Committee
