With the sixteen-foot video-wall and pumping music, this year's booth could not be missed! The coolest item in the booth was the 15-minute documentary featuring cooperative personnel across the country discussing MultiSpeak. Moderated by Martin Gordon, PE of NRECA, vendors, and cooperatives across the country, the documentary spoke of MultiSpeak Version 1.1, lessons learned, success stories, and hopes and dreams of cooperatives. Included in the documentary were interviews from Virginia coops including Prince George EMC and Northern Neck; from Georgia including Habersham EMC; Hart EMC, and Mitchell EMC; from South Carolina including Black River EMC, Pee Dee EMC and Santee Electric Cooperative , from Pennsylvania including Central EMC and Northwestern EMC, from North Carolina including Halifax EMC, Four County EMC, Lumbee River EMC, Pee Dee EMC, South River EMC, and Edgecombe Martin County EMC, and Delaware EC, WIN Energy and Hendricks Power, Indiana; to name a few.

The TechAdvantage 2003 Expo is the biggest event of the year for most electric cooperative engineers, managers, and IT professionals. This year’s Expo in Nashville covered over 53,000 square feet and had over 230 exhibitors. The goal is to give attendees the information they need to improve services and learn more about the newest, greatest, or best technologies in the marketplace. TechAdvantage is also a time for networking with other professionals across the country. The Expo could be the best opportunity all year to talk one-on-one with industry vendors about products and services.

The 2004 conference will be held in New Orleans, LA, February 13 – 16. Visit www.techadvantage.org for more information.

The 16' video wall was an eye catcher for everyone at the show!

14 vendors contributed to this year's booth by advertising on 6' tall full-color banners.

MultiSpeak's presence at this year's show greatly raised awareness of the Initiative among cooperatives and vendors alike.
