MultiSpeak is currently in use in the daily operations of more than 600 electric cooperatives, investor-owned utilities, municipals, and public power districts in at least 15 different countries. It is likely that total market penetration is significantly larger.
MultiSpeak had its origins in serving the smaller utility and electric cooperative markets and has focused on soliciting participation of those vendors which typically serve the small utility market. Therefore it is not surprising that the majority of the current installations are in electric cooperatives. However, with the incorporation of web services and especially the recent addition of the service bus architecture, the capabilities of MultiSpeak are scalable and the uses are not limited to smaller utilities. This recent recognition has lead to a growing interest in the power of MultiSpeak among municipal and investor-owned utilities.
